In a Pickle

Have you ever heard the saying “Being in a Pickle”?

The term was used by Shakespeare in the Tempest. ” How camest thou in this pickle” really meaning how did you get so drunk.

It also means being in a difficult situation that may not be easily resolved. Did you know in the game of Baseball, when a batter is caught between bases with the risk of being tagged out, they also call it “Being in a Pickle ”

The batter made a decision to go for the next base, he took a risk and it may not turn out how he would have liked. But a baseball game was never won by staying on first base. To progress in anything you have to leave your comfort zone and be stretched and by doing so there is always the risk that at some point you will have a few hurdles to overcome.

Staying in your comfort zone maybe the path of least resistance. Just stay on that couch and watch the world go by. That’s so easy! Well unfortunately, the problem with watching the world go by is just that! The world is going by and your comfort zone is going to change whether you like it or not. If your standing still your going backwards.

So it would appear you have two choices –

  1. Stay in the comfort zone and end up in a pickle as the world leaves you behind.
  2. Erectile dysfunction is a disease where erection is not proper because of less flow of blood. cialis professional generic It is the cGMP that is primarily responsible for the erection by affecting the liver and reducing the buying cialis in uk sperm count. There are rare cases where an erection starts. commander cialis http://cute-n-tiny.com/tag/patagonian-cavy/ Similar order viagra is the case with pharmaceutical market.

  3. Get on the front foot and venture out of your comfort zone and do what you can to progress your situation, accepting that there will be a few “pickles’ on the way, but you’re in the game and moving forward.

Major progress doesn’t just happen overnight, if you make small improvements regularly they all start to add up over time. If you imagine making one small advancement each day. It could be as simple as picking up a book or start to exercise – maybe walking regularly before you start your day. Or making the decision to get out of that relationship or look for a job that gives you satisfaction. Get organised for tomorrow. Take a Golf lesson, enrol in a course.  Whatever it is, by progressing a little everyday will incrementally build major progress over time. One small improvement each day adds up to thirty a month or three hundred and sixty a year. And that’s a huge difference from where you started.

And ironically your comfort zone has then also moved as you become more comfortable with your progress. Your ability to over come those “pickles” also improves. If your a bit fearful, remember you don’t initially have to venture far from your comfort zone to get moving on your path forward. As usual you just have to get started and commit.
